I (Jannie Guzman) will continue to lead these reflection nights at St Mark, including talks and guidance on dynamics. Those interested in serving within this initiative, will receive formation to help them discover God’s calling in the light of Scripture, deepen their personal relationship with the Lord, and learn how to share the Good News with others. They will help during the initiative which takes place just once a year. The remaining time will be dedicated to formation.

Formation will begin in August. Since my time will be very limited due to master studies, this formation will only take place twice a month from 1-1.5 hours. In consideration of my time and efforts, if you answer “yes”, please commit to assisting and persevering. This formation is part of my voluntary and missionary work, out of love for the Lord and the Church.

The requirements to serve are the following:

1. Be in state of grace
Reason: When we serve, we are conduits of grace. This means being faithful to the Lord, living a righteous life, and setting a good example for others. We cannot proclaim the truth of the Gospel if we are not embodying it in our own lives.

2. You must have completed the nine-week nights of reflection and dynamics in its entirety with a minimum of one (1) absence.
Reason: A common mistake during the discipleship phase is to skip its stages and start serving without being properly formed. A well-formed disciple is a person who knows how to live in community and be docile to the Holy Spirit.

3. You must complete the Safe Environment by the Diocese of Dallas.

4. You may not be directly or indirectly involved in ministries not approved by the Diocese of Dallas that are in disobedience with our bishop.
